Hi Pangasius!

Fried Pangasius + Spinach with Kalamansi Sauce

Scenario prior to dinner time

Mom: Len, (That's how she calls me) iluto mo yung pangasius
Me: Ma?
Mom: Oo.
Me: ?

Okay, clueless ako.

Then I remember, Cream Dory? Pangasius? (fish fillet) I got one last grocery time.
And thanks to available recipes online I get to cook it. My way. Ahuh! :)
I found this recipe online. Thanks Sir Dennis. You're the best!

The twirk -- since I don't have lemon, I used kalamansi.  I used spinach, my fave as a complement to the dish.

How-how :) (Sorry, no pics e Next time, meron na.. )

Mayonnaise
Butter
Salt & Pepper (to taste)
Milk

How-How
  • Haluin lahat sa isang mixing bowl.
  • Initin ang sauce pan, set sa low-heat
  • Isalin ang sauce mixture, hayaan kumulo. (ng very light)

Habang inaantay kumulo ang mixture. Igisa ang spinach, budburan ng konting nutmeg, at konting olive oil. (Super sandali lang to., mga 5 mins or less)

Kapag check na ang:
  • Pritong isda
  • Kumulo na ang sauce mixture at
  • Nagisa na ang spinach

Then, Pak! Tapos na!

PS,
Ngayon ko lang nalaman na mahirap pala mag-recipe post. Challenging.
Kaya naman, bow ako sa mga foodistas! Salamat sa mga recipe posts nyo :)

GT | Song That Make Me Smile

Another first post for Girls Talk.
Prompt this Thursday is: songs that make us smile

There's so many songs that makes me smile, I'll share the best three of all.

1. Just the Way You Are | Bruno Mars
- this song was sung by the Husband over the phone with a guitar. He was in Singapore that time. And whenever I hear this, I smile, my heart smiles.

Oh her eyes, her eyes
Make the stars look like they're not shining
Her hair, her hair
Falls perfectly without her trying

She's so beautiful
And I tell her every day

Yeah I know, I know
When I compliment her
She wont believe me
And its so, its so
Sad to think she don't see what I see

But every time she asks me do I look okay
I say

When I see your face
There's not a thing that I would change
Cause you're amazing
Just the way you are
And when you smile,
The whole world stops and stares for awhile
Cause girl you're amazing
Just the way you are

Her nails, her nails
I could kiss them all day if she'd let me
Her laugh, her laugh
She hates but I think its so sexy

She's so beautiful
And I tell her every day

Oh you know, you know, you know
Id never ask you to change
If perfect is what you're searching for
Then just stay the same

So don't even bother asking
If you look okay
You know I say

2. While the two songs are from Local TVCs, if only you can see Travis dance, shout, laugh when watching these.. (Okay, you can laugh at me na..)
     2.A. Colgate's Brush-Brush

     2.B. Lucky Me Nam Nam

Genius

At 7 months, I see his interest on everything. Might be a toy, a book, a fruit, everything. He explores it, look at it and even tries to taste it. Smart one huh. I'm no genius myself or that I'm unaware of. But I pray, he'll be one of his generations' best. Whenever I look at him, a tear would fall then I smile. I'm happy and excited, that finally this little boy will again be with his Dad whose been away for 6 months now.

He's a genius in his own way, I love how he puts the ball unto his toy, look at it as it goes  down and smile when he got his ball back. I love his every move, his every poof, his every giggles. That one morning when he bit my nose. Yes, he did. I woke up laughing. With all the babbles, cooooos and caaaaas I am relieved, he's enjoying the world, our world.

I am genius, You are genius.
I am glad. Be glad.

PowerBooks, Trinoma

Bet you've been in a new place and told yourself; " I think I can live here.."
Me, I just did. When I saw the newly renovated Powerbooks' Trinoma. I just fell in love with it.
Let me tour you away.

PB before: (photo lifted from PB's multiply site

PB now: (Sorry I just used my BB's camera for the first six photos)

Them titles..

Those I didn't get..

Here's what I got this time..
Since, I'm (still) no Chef.. I'll start with the basic (again?) Haha..
And Angel (our househelp) loves cooking like I do. I bought her (and I) recipe books.

And since I have something for myself, ofcourse the little Travis have his too.

And if you spend at least P1,500 you'll get a free Powerbook Notebook. NICE! :)

And guess who's busy? And I think he likes it. Another book added to Travis and Mom's Read-Time!

Oh, Hi There Royce!

I have a sweet tooth, any dark and bitter chocolates, no nuts or fruits wins my heart. Chocolates in any form, local, imported or even cheap, name it, I love them. But I don't eat them in one sitting, I simply can't. Let's say a bag of Hershey's Kisses, probably 20pcs can last up to a mont h in the fridge, approx one kiss(es) a day -- my day is saved. Haha..

Just when I was introduced to Royce Chocolates, thanks to my sister-in-law Sheryl for introducing Royce. I have never been this inlove to chocolates. What's the best thing about it? They're from sweet loved ones. I love them more than Royce.

And let me introduce to you to
Nama Chocolates
Au Lait

soft, not-so-sweet,melts (just right)

royce

royce
I bet this would last for two months or so.

And my ultimate favorite, second to dark and bitter chocolates?
Royce Potato Chip Chocolate
salty + sweet = FTW!

And I'll take this opportunity to thank three persons who made my sweet tooth/teeth HAPPY! :)

A long time has passed since the first blog posts and first blogging events. We are now a bigger, stronger and influential community. Businesses, causes and government have started to organize themselves to interact and engage with us. And we also face challenges within and outside our growing community. The Philippines, our country and people are also expecting more from us, and we bravely and fearlessly say that we want to do more and achieve more In view of all these and more, we declare that we are joining as founding members of what we hope would be a most awesome bloggers association for our country.

Travis: Taho, Lab Kita

yummytaho

Halik,
Travis

Glam-O-Mama's Nutritional Cooking Class

Who wouldn't want this?
I don't. So, when I read Jenni Epperson's blog post about Glam-o-Mama's Nutritional Class, I then emailed and reserve a slot for myself. (Held March 1, Sorry for the delayed post)

For Moms, we should know how to introduce "Nutrition" to our babies/kids diet. And it's never too late for me, since Travis is just starting to munch on solid foods. He loves Broccoli and I'm happy with it.. But after the Nutritional Class, I know I could give more. Nutrition awareness for us, Mom are one of the best things we can do for our babies, for they'll help in developing our child both physically and mentally. Many thanks to Glam-O-Mama Amanda and Oh Baby's Mommy Chefs Reb and Tina for teaming up for this event.

And here's the event's picture-tour..

The Nutrition Class was held at Imagine That! located at Makati..

Here's the "Parade of Nutritions!" Yey!

Introducing our babies to Nutrition isn't that hard, the two Mom Chef's 12 easy to prepare dishes are one way to start it. And I for myself already tried preparing Steamed Fish in Apple Sauce, and it's a hit not just for my lil Travis but also to my Dad and Mom. Who wouldn't think that we can eat what our little ones eat? Our little ones' food should NOT be limited to what groceries and supermarkets offers, let's go beyond - besides we want whats best for them, right? I'll be sharing some of the recipes as I prepare them for Travis. And oh, don't forget to serve them in colorful plates too..

I am a happy Mom. Thanks Jenni Epperson, Glam-O-Mamas and Oh Baby! We look forward to more of your events. More power!

So Mommys, Aunts, Godparents, Everyone - always visit Glam-O-Mamas' website for more of BabyMama events!

And as Glam-O-Mama Amanda twitsay:

Framed Countdown

Today marks the Husbands' 6th month of being away from us. But I'm thankful that he's safe as well as his co-workers and his cruise ship too. Before he left, he told me to take pictures of Travis' everyday, everytime. And so I did, and aside from the pictures I'm taking using my camera, I availed of The Picture Company's membership, so he could have some studio captured pictures.

As months passes by, we've already been to the studio for more than 6-10 times in 6 months. And everytime Travis had his photo shoot, we end up with a happy smile and happy heart. So what I did, every pictures I order, were frame and sticked to one (boring) wall in our bedroom..

That only means I need just 4 more framed pictures..
